The Santa’s City Village Hotel concept plan is set in the heart of Rovaniemi, in the idyllic park landscape along the Kemijoki River. The vision was to create a hotel village full of experiences, where the magic of Lapland and the atmosphere of the Arctic Circle meet the vibrant urban life of the city. The plan seamlessly integrates a new hotel building and high-quality riverside cabins into the area’s valuable 1950s building stock.

At the heart of the design is an elegant balance between themed tourism architecture and the historic urban environment. The architecture emphasizes the transition from a peaceful, park-like accommodation setting directly to the city’s services, while making the most of the unique landscape values of the Kemijoki River and the northern light.
