An additional building project was built next to the Haukilahti water tower, where two new residential apartment buildings and a parking garage were built between the existing apartment buildings. At the edge of Hauenkalliontie, a 7-story lamel building was placed and an 8-story point building was placed in the center of the plot. The parking garage was half sunk into the hillside next to the lamel building.

The plot is characterized by large differences in height. A scenic rocky pine forest was preserved in the area between the buildings, which is connected to the Hauenkallio green area.

The facades of the buildings were built on site from red brick. The shade of the brick was chosen to be compatible with the existing buildings on the plot. The facades are designed as peaceful open facades. The laminated timber house has a clear shape, similar to the laminated timber house on the plot. The top floor is set back from the street. The block house has a more diverse mass, like the older block houses on the plot.

The apartments are rentals from studios to 5-bedroom apartments. Due to the high location of the building, the apartments on the top floors have spacious sea views. The residents’ common areas are located on the top floor of the lamel apartment building. The common areas of the site are larger and more diverse than required, from a large living area to a co-working space and a sports area. The top floor also houses one of the building’s saunas.

The site was applied for a Breeam certificate (Very good) as the second residential site in Finland. Special attention was paid to durability, among other things. The buildings were built to energy class A and their heating is geothermal.
