Modern Office Spaces in Tikkurila

The new office building on Lauri Korpisen Street serves as a gateway to the entire Jokiniemi campus.

The site is located southeast of Tikkurila railway station and the Dixi shopping center, east of the planned Vantaa tram line, and south of Eric von Rettig Park. To the west are Teatteripolku, the future Vantaa tram line, and the railway tracks. Residential buildings border the block to the south and east. This central location provides those working in the property with easy access to the diverse services of the shopping center as well as excellent public transport connections.

Tikkurila has developed into one of Vantaa’s most popular office locations. The area offers excellent connections to Helsinki city center, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, and the rest of the metropolitan area. Transport connections will further improve once the planned Tikkurila tram line is completed.

A key objective of the design is to create a calm and sustainable urban space in line with the city plan. The façades of the office building are made of site-laid brick facing the streets, featuring a clear vertical rhythm of windows that expand into display windows on the lower floors, providing excellent visibility and conditions for retail spaces. The brick-clad façades of the parking facility are architecturally linked to the office building at the first-floor level and stairwells. In the upper floors, corten steel façades break this pattern, creating a visual counterpoint to the orderly architecture while harmonizing with it in color. Durability and adaptability have also been highly prioritized in the design — a single office floor can be divided for up to seven tenants.

Everyday work life in the building is supported by a range of on-site amenities, including a lunch restaurant, a large bicycle parking area with adjacent changing facilities, and an underground car park equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.

Environmental Responsibility and User Comfort

The property is also aiming for a LEED Platinum certification and an Energy Efficiency Class A rating. The design emphasizes flexibility of spaces, brightness in work areas, and the building’s overall energy efficiency, as well as its life-cycle carbon footprint. The building is also equipped with a geothermal heating system.

Workplace conditions have been carefully considered by providing spaces suitable both for tasks requiring concentration and for teamwork. The office areas are divided into different zones, featuring natural meeting points and sound-absorbing elements.
