Kalevankatu 6

L Architects’ own office spaces

Our new premises are located in the center of Helsinki, in the Paradise Bird Quarter, as the extension of Suomitalo, which was originally completed in 1938. The property is known for Wäinö Aaltonen’s relief on the wall on the Yrjö street side, called “Unexpected Guest”.

The beautiful, traditional elevator car takes you directly to the fifth floor and opens straight into our offices.

Extensive renovation

The complete renovation of the space began with the demolition of the old room partition walls of the previous user, creating the open space out of the entire floor, filled with light.

The office was designed to serve the needs of its own staff as well as needs of various work phases and project situations. The space is divided by glass-walled team work spaces and small quiet rooms. Particular attention has been paid to work comfort by providing adequate acoustics to make working in the open-plan office comfortable by controlling the noise levels. Workstations are ergonomically fitted and are supported by adjustable lighting on the premises.

In addition to the office wings, there is a special wing for shared areas, with a large and spacious kitchen and a lounge area where weekly joint office reviews are held and news are exchanged during the day. Modern customer meeting rooms are also located in this section.
